Cyber Volunteer Coordinator
Tarian Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) is seeking an organised and motivated individual to coordinate and develop its Cyber and Fraud Volunteer Programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of a volunteer network that supports the ROCU’s mission to protect communities from cybercrime and fraud.
You will oversee the recruitment, development and wellbeing of volunteers who provide advice, education and support to individuals, businesses and community groups across the region.
The role focuses solely on volunteer management ensuring that the volunteer programme operates efficiently and in line with national Citizens in Policing (CiP) objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support a team of Cyber and Fraud Volunteers across the region.
• Develop and implement volunteer recruitment, induction, and training programmes.
• Monitor volunteer engagement, performance and welfare, maintaining accurate records and ensuring best practice.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments and national CiP partners.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the role of volunteers in delivering cyber and fraud prevention initiatives.
• Promote the contribution of volunteers and ensure their work aligns with the strategic aims of Tarian ROCU.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience in volunteer coordination, partnership working, or community-based programme delivery.
• Demonstrates strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Can work independently, showing initiative and professionalism.
• Is confident presenting to varied audiences and producing clear written reports.
• Is proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable maintaining digital records.
Essential:
- GCSE Level A–C in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Willingness to undertake NPCC-accredited training
- Experience in delivering training, presentations, or public engagement activities.
- Full, valid driving licence.
- Experience within Citizens in Policing, volunteer management or law enforcement environments.
Desirable:
- Degree or equivalent
- Welsh Language Level 2 or above.
