OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To provide a coordinated Problem Orientated approach for tackling Anti-Social Behaviour, which will facilitate the multi-agency Crime and Disorder Partnership, processes already adopted.

To support Operational staff in responding to Problem Orientated Policing packages.

To develop the work currently undertaken with regard to Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBOs), Acceptable Behaviour Contracts and other interventions, working closely with Local Authorities and other agencies to achieve a reduction in Crime and Disorder in accordance with the Crime and Disorder Act 1988/ ASB Crime and Policing Act 2014. To introduce and use anti-social behaviour injunctions under the later act.

To attend day and evening public meetings to represent North Wales Police and explain its policies in tackling anti-social behaviour, the law, the processes in obtaining Acceptable Behaviour Contracts (ABC), Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBOs) and Anti-social behaviour injunctions.

MINIMUM CRITERIA FOR THE ROLE:

The role requires applicants who can demonstrate (with evidence) skills in the following areas:

  • HNC or equivalent level of qualification in a relevant subject, and/or an equivalent amount of proven relevant experience.
  • Possess an up to date knowledge of Partnership working, Anti-Social Behaviour issues, legislation and the Anti Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
  • The use of Information Technology to an intermediate level, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience of gathering and disseminating statistical information is desirable.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively, with good presentation skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team or independently using own initiative.
  • Possess good time management skills to prioritise work and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Level 3 Welsh language skills are essential for this post.
