In this role you will take the lead on the day-to-day cleaning, and oversee the cleaning operatives within your given location, ensuring the given allocation of weekly hours are covered.
Key responsibilities:
To ensure your teams clean in any specified area as instructed by the Cleaning Supervisor in accordance with the specification for the Building Cleaning Services and in line with all safety and security measures in operation.
Monitor and organise cover for sickness.
Monitor the performance, and welfare of your teams.
Carry out site quality inspections and quality control, with the Cleaning Supervisors.
Provide emergency cover and transport in cases of staff shortages, within your geographical area
Provide cover for cleaning within your team.
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness is essential, at all times.
Must understand how to handle cleaning products safely, including harsh chemicals.
Good numeracy and literacy skills to measure cleaning fluids.
Ability to operate cleaning tools, such as steam cleaner and floor buffers amongst others as required.
Skills and experience:
- Experience of working to specifications.
- Hold a full Driving Licence, and ability to use your vehicle as required.
- Experience of using computer packages such as Word and Excel.
- BIC’s trained or willing to work towards a qualification.
- Trained in Chemical identification (COSHH) or willing to work towards a qualification.
- Willing to work unsociable hours as required.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Industrial/Commerical cleaning work history or equivalent ideally NVQ Level 2

Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
