Full-time 37 hours, permanent, based at Penrith HQ

Cumbria Constabulary Central Services Department are looking for someone to join the team as an Employee Services Officer.

We are seeking an experienced payroll individual who is highly organised, collaborative and enthusiastic to support the provision of payroll, pensions and recruitment services.

The successful applicant will support a small team to deliver all aspects of payroll, process police, and police staff pension information to ensure the timely payment of pensions and lump sums. They will also support police staff and police officer specialist recruitment processes. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and welcoming team.

This is a varied and busy role working to deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. As the post holder you will be required to provide advice and guidance to managers and staff across a range of policies and legislation.

Good IT skills are required but training on our in-house systems would be provided, work will be in line with the established processes and procedures.

This role is an agile working position, the post holder will be required to work from Penrith Headquarters, Penrith then when trained can work between Police HQ, Penrith and home.
