Location: Hampshire Terrace, Portsmouth

Salary: PO2 (£44,700–£48,459 per annum)

Hours: 37 per week

Contract: Permanent

Job Purpose

 

We are seeking a highly resilient and motivated leader with exceptional communication skills to join our High-Tech Crime Unit as a Digital Forensics Operational Manager. This is a dynamic and evolving role, offering the opportunity to lead a dedicated team of digital forensic specialists and drive continuous improvement within the force.

As the Operational Manager, you will:

  • Provide strong leadership and motivation to your team, ensuring high performance and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with other managers to maintain resilience across the unit and share expertise to support professional development.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills to provide tactical advice to the force and manage increasing demand in a fast-paced environment.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, championing positive change and upholding our commitment to public service.
Essential Experience and Qualifications

 

  • Educated to QCF Level 6 or equivalent or possess relevant work experience in digital forensics.
  • Substantial supervisory or managerial experience
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • A proven track record in research and development and implementing change.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and prioritise workloads
