Lancashire Constabulary is looking for a highly organised, dedicated Procure to Pay Assistant to join our Financial Accounting Team.

You will help to facilitate the requisitioning and payment of goods, services and business travel for the Constabulary. 

A typical day is never the same, it can range from taking queries from suppliers, to dealing with officer/staff enquiries in relation to force policies and procedures. The post has a vast range of tasks associated with it and it is critical you can make informed decisions in order to provide the best service to our stakeholders.  

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Oracle is maintained, reviewed, and updated regularly in order to ensure accuracy and compliance when processing of accounts payable invoices and purchase orders.  
  • Assist in the delivery of a customer focused administrative service ensuring that the constabulary meets all purchase orders, invoices and business travel needs in line with Force policy.  
  • To communicate and influence internal & external stakeholders such as Force divisions, departments, and suppliers.  
  • Demonstrate decision making skills to take a pro-active approach to problem solving which focuses on solutions aiming for continuous improvements in the services provided and task ownership.  
  • Responsible for administration and facilitate venue booking, business travel and queries in a timely manner complying with Force policy.

Skills and Experience:

  • 4 GCSEs Grade C or above (or equivalent including Maths and English)
  • Experience of working in an administrative/clerical role within a busy office environment
  • Experience of working with minimal supervision, organising, and prioritising own workload


Vetting and Medical:

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
