Are you an inspirational senior police leader looking to join a highly respected police force?

Thames Valley Police are recruiting two Assistant Chief Constables who have the executive leadership and operational skills and are looking for a new challenge in the largest non-metropolitan force in the country.

  1. Assistant Chief Constable – Crime and Criminal Justice

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Constable, you will lead Thames Valley Police’s Crime, Intelligence and Specialist Operations capabilities, as well as our Criminal Justice functions.

You will shape and deliver strategies that tackle serious and complex crime, drive performance improvement, and strengthen partnerships and collaboration both within and outside policing.

This is a pivotal role requiring operational credibility, strategic vision, and the ability to inspire teams to deliver outstanding results for our communities.

  1. Assistant Chief Constable - South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) and Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE)

Reporting directly to the Chief Constable under the Lead Force Model, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) and Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE).

This role demands a strong regional voice on serious organised crime and counter terrorism, ensuring effective collaboration with national partners, including the National Crime Agency and Counter Terrorism Policing.

You will lead the delivery of the UK’s CT Strategy (CONTEST) across the region, maintain a strategic overview of threat and risk, and inspire teams to deliver exceptional results in tackling serious and organised crime.

These roles would suit talented, enthusiastic and innovative individuals who share our commitment to becoming an excellent police force trusted by all our communities.

These are exciting and challenging opportunities to make a real difference, lead by example, engage and inspire our people to fight crime, serve victims and build trust.

Being a Chief Officer in our force means you will be joining a dedicated, motivated and ambitious executive leadership team and a force who work together, as one team, to protect our communities.

We are proud to be Thames Valley Police, and you could be too.

Eligibility

Applicants must have passed or currently be completing the College of Policing Executive Leadership Programme (ELP) or successfully completed the Strategic Command Course.
