Deputy Crime Incident Registrar

We are looking for an individual to assist, and when required deputise for, the Force Crime and Incident Registrar (FCIR), ensuring that incidents, crimes and their outcomes are recorded ethically and consistently in line with national standards.

In the absence of the FCIR you will be the first point of contact and final arbiter in decisions regarding the application of the National Crime Recording Standard (NCRS), and the National Standard for Incident recording (NSIR) and an understanding of its structure and ethical approach would be advantageous.  You will be expected to attend and pass a national accreditation course within 12 months of taking post to place you on the professional register.

You will actively promote the understanding of the standards across the Force.  This will include developing and delivering training packages at all levels of the organisation and its partners, and confident presentation skills will be essential.

You will be responsible for ensuring effective auditing and amending of recorded data and therefore you must have substantial audit/administration experience and be IT literate with the ability to use Microsoft packages, Excel in particular.

You must also have excellent organisational skills and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.  This will include the interpretation and analysis of processes and recommending solutions for deficiencies.

Although you will be based at police headquarters in Nettleham, there will be some requirement for you to travel to different locations so you must have a current full driving licence.

Shift Pattern

Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:00 & Friday 08:00 - 15:30.
