Security Guard Supervisor (12 month fixed term contract)- Security and Compliance (CTPSE)
We are looking for a confident leader with a strong background in security operations to oversee and support our dedicated team of security guards, ensuring the safety and protection of our premises, staff, and visitors.
The role of the Security Guard Supervisor is to:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of security guards, including the coordination of daily rotas, conducting daily briefings, handling annual leave and other relevant administrative tasks.
- Support the Physical Security Manager in the management of physical security controls
including Intruder Detection systems, Access Control Systems and CCTV Systems for the estate - Support the security assessments and management of visitors attending the site.
- Ensuring provision of resilience for the Security Guard Team in times of high demand or periods of absence. Where necessary, covering any security guard duties to minimise operational impact
- Liaise with site management and external agencies when required.
- Assess and support the requirements of the Security Guard team. Ensuring all communication is conveyed to and from the Security Guard team taking into account their 24/7 shift pattern.
- Ensure the Security Guard Team remain certified and licensed to SIA standard in the required areas outlined in the Security Operating Procedure.
- Present a monthly briefing to update the Physical Security Manager and Senior Security
Information & Physical Security Manager on security performance and to discuss opportunities to improve ways of working
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad. Please be aware that if successful there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries once in post
