Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNW’s mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism.

We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support CTPNW in achieving its mission.

CTPNW has an exciting opportunity to become a Surveillance Motorcyclist on one of our surveillance teams. In this role, you will undertake covert, mobile, technical and foot surveillance in order to obtain intelligence and evidence, undertaking covert surveillance as authorised under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 and Human Rights legislation. You will also debrief covert surveillance operations on a daily basis ensuring evidential logs are accurate.

Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the North West region, and throughout the UK. Due to the extensive travel undertaken, officers are paid for all travel time incurred in the course of their operational deployment with no deduction.

Additionally, the post also comes with the following role-related bonus,

£2000 per annum Surveillance Motorcyclist role related bonus

Essential criteria:
• Current Q1 Accredited Surveillance Officer
• Current Advance Police Driver
• Current Q2/200 Accredited Surveillance Motorcyclist
