ICT Engineer
To provide professional technical solutions and support for Information Technology Systems within the parameters of the Departments Service Level Agreements, the Service Catalogue and ITIL.What You’ll Do
To carry out maintenance, configuration, testing, implementation and support for the Telephone and associated systems.
To carry out maintenance, configuration, testing, implementation and support for the Airwave Radio System including the Integrated Control System.
To provide 2nd /3rd line technical support to the Service Desk for the resolution of IT incidents in relation to LAN/Network/Radio/Telephone/ANPR Infrastructure.
To carry out maintenance, configuration, testing, implementation and support for the Local Area Network (CISCO) to include Administration (IP Addressing, DNS, DHCP)
To deliver IT solutions defined by the Network/Comms Team Leader in accordance with agreed force projects.
Generic Requirements
Develop, test, install, configure and troubleshoot hardware/software. Support the ICT Service Desk to resolve calls/issues and liaise with other ICT staff to support departmental objectives.
Create documentation, diagrams and other detailed instructions to help other employees make the best use of new technologies.
Keep up to date records of ICT assets and inventories
To undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities such as instructor led-training, e-learning and workshops in order to keep abreast of new technologies so that they can be implemented within force.
