Printer Operator

To provide the force and its clients with a Digital Printing/ Reprographic Service along with allied finishing solutions.

What You’ll Do

To be conversant with and undertake all appropriate digital mono and colour copypress and Riso printing. Also other general allied associated machine room operations including ancillary finishing equipment (e.g. guillotine, folding, drilling, perfect binding, wire stitching, numbering/perforating, collating/booklet making equipment, and mail insertion systems).

To undertake digital production of VDP, unique reference numbering of tasks using an appropriate Canon and allied production workflow solutions.

To provide clients where necessary with reprographic advice, along with the most cost effective solution in line with ‘Value for Money’.

To assist in the maintenance of appropriate records and statistical information systems including completion of returns when required.

To undertake some liaison duties, where appropriate, with regard to general advice or enquiries or in consultation with the Printing & Design Services Manager
