Salary: Scale 4, £26,106.00 - £28,653.00 per annum
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Contract: Temporary for 9 months - from 26.02.2026 to 26.11.2026

The successful candidate will provide high quality customer focused administrative support to the CTPSE Intelligence Management Unit function.
Key Accountabilitues include, but are not limited to:
1. To conduct checks against CT Systems on behalf of CTPSE, The Personnel Security Vetting Unit, Firearms & Explosives Licensing Department and other agencies in order to complete vetting checks.
2. To receive, record and disseminate information, using appropriate IT systems, to internal and external stakeholders as instructed.
3. To act as the CTPSE single point of contact with the Personnel Security Vetting Unit, Firearms & Explosives Licensing Department and other agencies in order to complete vetting checks.
4. To ensure that all requests for security checks received by CTPSE are dealt with in a timely manner and to maintain a working knowledge of current legislation/ policy on the vetting procedure.
5. To compile, maintain and archive manual and computerised indices, records, registers and filing systems ensuring that information is kept accurate, accessible and up to date.
6. To receive protectively marked/ prioritised communications and record within CTPSE system/s in accordance with national/ local policy and procedure.

Educated to QCF Level 2 (3-5 passes) OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.
Considerable experience of working in a busy office environment, involving the use of computers for data entry, analysis, general office practice.
Data evaluation.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Applications, specifically Word and Excel.
Database/ spreadsheet maintenance.
Accustomed to a high volume of work and meeting deadlines.
