Police Constable - Disruptions Coordinator - Regional Disruption Team (SEROCU)
This is an exciting opportunity to join the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) as a Police/Detective Constable Disruptions Coordinator within the Regional Disruption Team (RDT). The team plays a vital role in tackling serious and organised crime (SOC) across the South East by identifying and delivering tactical disruption opportunities that reduce harm and dismantle criminal networks. Working closely with law enforcement and partner agencies, the successful candidate will help shape and deliver innovative disruption strategies using a problem-solving approach and the 4Ps framework (Pursue, Protect, Prevent, Prepare).
We’re looking for a proactive and operationally deployable officer with a strong understanding of organised crime groups and disruption tactics. You’ll need experience in planning and executing arrest/search operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while building effective partnerships. Desirable qualifications include experience working with partner agencies, and accreditation in Method of Entry and Taser. This agile role offers flexibility and variety, with deployments across the South East region, making it ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, multi-agency environments and is committed to continuous improvement and organisational learning.
You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role. You will also be required to perform on-call arrangements for immediate response as required across the South East region (Remove if not applicable)
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks.
You can find more information about security vetting here.
