As an ICT Technical Project Co-ordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our ICT infrastructure and providing technical assistance to our staff. The role

The Technical Project Co-ordinator will assist the Technical Project Managers in providing professional and proactive support to a range of large technical projects and reviews. In addition, you will manage your own smaller projects and changes. You will maintain project plans, prepare reports and undertake research duties, ensuring that progress and outcomes are monitored effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide resilience for the Technical Project Managers
  • Develop and manage projects, as assigned by the Programme Manager
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues
  • Communicate project progress and status to stakeholders
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards

Requirements:

  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Familiarity with Prince2 project management methodology.
  • Able to manage multiple pieces of work under a technical project, programme and portfolio structure
  • Possess good analytical and organisational skills
  • Aware of the importance of audit/compliance checks
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills (including project documentation such as business cases, Highlight reports and RAIDD)
  • Able to research, collate and disseminate information
  • A passion for delivering innovative solutions that support South Wales Police's mission
  • Demonstrate an awareness of current Health and Safety legislation and practices

The ICT Technical Project Coordinator sits in the Technical Programme Management Office and reports to the ICT Technical Programme Manager.
