Head of Learning and Development

We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead our Learning and Development department based at the Learning and Development Centre (LDC) in Grangetown.

This is an exciting opportunity for applicants who are passionate about delivering the highest standards of education and training to our Police Officers, Staff and Special Constables. In ensuring these high standards you will shape our dedicated Officers and Staff, enabling them to reach their potential, and keep the communities of Cleveland safe. This is a role where you can really make a difference.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a track record of working at a strategic level. You will be responsible for ensuring that the Force develops and maintains the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to provide an outstanding service. Your expertise in this field will be used on a daily basis, as you work as a consultant and advisor to the senior leadership team.

You will manage a team of professionals who design and deliver a blend of classroom and online learning products. Workstreams are varied and there are often complex and competing objectives. You will be leading busy teams, promoting effective working relationships with a one team and organisational ethos.

As a learning and development professional you will possess a relevant training qualification such as a Certificate in Education or PCGE, or possess relevant equivalent experience.
