Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNWs mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism.
We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support CTPNW in achieving its mission.
Information about the specific role
CTPNW are looking for a motivated and dynamic Constable/detective Constable to join the Merseyside/Cheshire Intelligence Management Unit. You will be responsible for managing your own workload of CT relevant intelligence investigations, often in collaboration with various specialist departments and different Constabularies.
The role requirements are varied and subject to short notice change, so the ability to be flexible and respond to changing situations and priorities is essential. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail with the ability to manage complex and sensitive information in support of serious, time-critical CT Investigations.
The successful candidate will have the high level of IT capability and awareness necessary to conduct detailed open-source research and comprehensive reviews of downloads.
Any successful applicant will be required to work in the highly sensitive and covert word of counter terrorism so will need to demonstrate the highest level of professional standards and integrity.
The role is based in the OCC in Speke, however there may be occasions where travel within the Northwest region is required, particularly in support of arrest or premises search operations managed by CT Investigations.
The role is suitable open to both PCs and DCs.
A current driving permit is desirable.
