Digital Multimedia Evidence Technician - Police Staff
Main Purpose of Role
Nottinghamshire Police are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Digital Multimedia Evidence Technician. This role involves the recovery, installation, and maintenance of CCTV systems, as well as the handling examination, analysis and processing of Digital Multimedia Evidence.
The successful candidate will join a team of forensic video practitioners and provide a complete digital multimedia service to Nottinghamshire Police covering all aspects of imagery, video and audio evidence, including but not exclusively, CCTV, Mobile Phone Footage, Body Worn Video recordings, vehicle dash camera recordings and video recorded interviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Recover and process CCTV and digital multimedia evidence from a variety of sources.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV systems and associated technologies.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, including ISO 17025.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with quality management procedures.
- Stay up to date with industry innovations, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support investigations and evidence handling.
Key skills and Experience Required
- A degree in a relevant field ordemonstrable work-related qualifications/experience in:
- CCTV recovery, installation, and maintenance
- Digital multimedia and / or Digital Forensic products.
- Knowledge of current standards and innovations in the CCTV and digital forensics industry.
- Experience working within a quality management environment.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 and its application in forensic environments.
The successful candidate will work 50% of weekends and a number of evening shifts.
