ERSOU - CTP - PC/DC Fixed Intelligence Management Unit (FIMU) Assessor.- Pursue
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated person looking to develop their career, and work within the Counter Terrorism environment as a PC/DC FIMU Assessor based in the Fixed Intelligence Management Unit within ERSOU-CTP.In this role the successful candidate will receive, evaluate and manage all intelligence/information in line with the National Standards of Intelligence Model (NSIM), highlighting threat and risk to the Intelligence Management Unit (IMU) Manager and carrying out development where appropriate and as well as the following
Identify and manage subsequent decision outcomes in line with appropriate policy.
Identify and develop intelligence opportunities by identifying intelligence gaps and tasking appropriate assets at the direction of the Counter Terrorism Senior Investigating Officer (CTSIO)/IMU Manager to build the intelligence picture.
Support the management of Emerging and Residual Threat (ERT) and Closed Subjects of Interest (CSOI) as required.
Support OIMU activity as required i.e. carry out direction of CTSIO; maintain an operational log as required; manage intelligence material obtained from all deployments, exploiting intelligence and evidential opportunities.
Conduct outside CT or Right-Wing extremism and Left-wing Extremism, Anarchist, Single Issue Terrorism enquiries and investigations making use of warranted powers when necessary.
Join regional ERSOU CTP on-call out of hours rota.
The post holder will be required to join the ERSOU CTP on-call rota and have a full UK driving licence

The Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU) oversees and delivers a regional level response to Serious and Organised Crime made up of both Police Officers and Police Staff who work closely with police forces and partners. Each department offers an opportunity to work and develop professionally within specialist areas, often delivering capabilities beyond the scope of local forces.
The region also delivers a response, again made up of both Officer and Staff, to support the Prevent, Pursue, Prepare and Protect CONTEST pillars and CT Borders Policing, alongside a partnership arrangement with the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command regarding investigations.
