Force CPD Co-ordinator
About the Role
Are you passionate about learning and development? As our new Force CPD Co-ordinator, you will lead the strategic planning and coordination of Continuing Professional Development across Lincolnshire Police. Working within the Leadership Development Team, you will partner with Heads of Service and Senior Leaders to map existing CPD provision, identify gaps, and build a centralised schedule that drives capability and career growth. You’ll champion a culture of continuous learning, evaluate impact, and use data insights to refine programmes that align with our organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a force-wide CPD strategy in collaboration with senior stakeholders
- Engage with Heads of Service to identify training needs and tailor CPD activities
- Map current CPD provision, spot gaps, and maintain a centralised CPD calendar
- Design and manage robust evaluation processes to measure learning outcomes and inform improvements
- Liaise with internal and external providers to coordinate high-quality CPD delivery
- Work closely with Learning & Development and Leadership Development teams to integrate broader learning initiatives
- Maintain accurate CPD records, produce regular reports, and support resource planning
- Support talent management by aligning CPD opportunities with career pathways
About You
- Proven experience in L&D, talent development, or CPD coordination
- Strong strategic thinker with excellent project-planning skills
- Natural relationship-builder capable of influencing senior stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and report on impact
- Commitment to our Force values and the Code of Ethics
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
