We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as Operational Security Adviser (OpSy) in our Police Headquarters Could you be who we are looking for?

About the team/Department you will be joining:

  • The team is a small department within our centralised functions in police headquarters,
  • they are all committed and flexible to adapt to the challenges that modern policing brings
  • advising on the legislation and best practices, sharing this with similar teams around the UK.

 About the role and your key responsibilities :

 

  • The OpSy is an independent advisor with the strategic objective of reducing the operational security risk.
  • Advising on the security, integrity and ethical conduct of all law enforcement techniques.
  • OpSy’s will seek to implement and maintain consistency in standards of security and practice in accordance with legislation, national guidelines and local policy.

 

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

 

  • We are looking for an individual with a good knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and working practices,
  • Experience of working within policing, or other law enforcement agencies
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and able to manage others.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.
