Job Title: Leadership Academy Strategic Evaluation & Insights Lead
Salary: The starting salary is £59,839, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £56,911 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £69,342. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Location: Central London locations, Marlowe House, NSY and potentially other locations across the MPS
The Met’s new Leadership Academy is building a forward-thinking team to construct and deliver contemporary, impactful learning programmes for our leaders. We’re looking for an ambitious individual to provide the necessary strategic evaluation and insight plan for our aims to be realised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-create a strategic evaluation and insight plan across all Leadership Academy programmes and products
- Ensure alignment with organisational priorities, including the “New Met for London” vision
- Define and implement effective tools to measure, analyse, and report on programme performance and impact
- Actively contribute to achieving Academy goals through data-driven insights and continuous improvement
- Champion leadership development across the Met by building strong internal and external relationships
- Collaborate with stakeholders such as the College of Policing, Local Government, and industry experts
- Support the evolution of strategic thinking and development of short, medium, and long-term leadership initiatives
- Ensure leadership programmes are integrated and aligned with broader organisational goals

Knowledge:
- Research methods, data quality, and evidence-based decision-making
- Evaluation strategy, impact measurement, and programme effectiveness
- Performance management, including KPI development, forecasting, and analysis
- Risk management and mitigation planning
- Strategic planning and resource alignment to business goals
- Designing and evaluating programmes for individuals, teams, and organisations
- Leadership strategy and its alignment with wider organisational priorities
- Learning & Development (L&D) tools, technologies, and business partnering
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint)
Experience:
- 6+ years’ in management consulting, business administration, and/or strategic planning and evaluation
- Senior leadership positions with significant responsibility and accountability
- Research programmes evidencing complex and long-term change
- Translating large and complex data into measurable and identifiable performance and behavioural trends
- Extracting insight from large data sets and building evaluation methods into programme design
