- S25-259 – VRN CSP Analyst (LC7-8)
Lancashire Constabulary is looking for VRN CSP analyst to join the LC Violence Reduction Unit Team, this will based at Preston County Hall. This post is temporary until 31/03/2026.
The Violence Reduction Network intelligence analyst will lead on the production of analytical products that support tactical and strategic decision-making. As the analyst, you will be responsible for collating, analysing, and interpreting multi-agency data sets to provide insights across the partnership. You will be responsible for producing strategic needs assessments, problem profiles, and evaluations to evidence the impact of several interventions and workstreams across the team. You will play a pivotal role in the reduction and prevention of serious violence in Lancashire, ensuring that decisions are evidence based and data driven.
Key Responsibilities:
This is not a comprehensive list of all the tasks which may be required of the post holder. It is illustrative of the general nature and level of responsibility of the work to be undertaken.
- Through application of analytical methodology, undertake and supervise the completion of complex analysis, drawing inferences, conclusions and recommendations as appropriate.
- Promote the use of problem-solving models in development of analytical products to support CSPs and related strategic boards.
- Preparation of analytical products to the standards set out in the National Intelligence Model and as agreed with Community Safety Partners, Lancashire Constabulary, Lancashire County Council (LCC), Local Authorities (LAs) and Office of Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC).
- Analysis of patterns, trends and thematic issues through the application of appropriate analytical methodology.
- Undertaking evaluations (process and impact) to determine impact of funded projects across the county.
- To promote and comply with our obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and Lancashire Constabulary’s policy on health and safety both in the delivery of service and the treatment of others.
- To be responsible for improving personal performance by actively engaging in the CPD process.
- To carry out any other duties which are consistent with the nature, responsibilities and grading of the post
Vetting and Medical:
Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV).
Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
Please note, candidates successful at shortlisting will be required to undertake an assessment as part of the interview process. This will consist of analytical assessment with a data set at interview.
