The Constabulary is specifically recruiting to the role of County Policing Commander.

About The Role

The role being specifically recruited to within this process is that of County Policing Commander.

In this role you will lead large areas of command within our force and partnerships, carrying responsibility for all activities in your area. Importantly, our chief superintendents lead the development of culture, climate and working processes across their areas of responsibility to ensure adherence to standards, and the promotion of accountability and continuous improvement.

Familiarisation Day W/C 18th of August 2025 (TBC)

Stakeholder Panel W/C 22nd of September 2025 (TBC)

Assessment / Interview Board W/C 6th of October 2025 (TBC)

Before You Apply

You should currently be, or have previously been, substantive in rank at Superintendent seeking promotion, or a substantive Chief Superintendent seeking level transfer or to re-join the police.

You will need two completed PDRs to submit with your application.v You should not currently be under a formal stage for UPP.
