Lancashire Constabulary’s Estates and Facilities Management Division is seeking a Estates Support Officer to be based at Hutton Headquarters.

The purpose of this role is to oversee the day-to-day service and CAFM repair portal and provide administrative support to the Estates and Facilities Management Department, and ensure the Maintenance Functions are delivered to a high standard to support and facilitate front line policing.  

The hours will be to work 14 hours 48 minutes to help the departments help desk function between 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

This is not a comprehensive list of all the tasks which may be required of the post holder. It is illustrative of the general nature and level of responsibility of the work to be undertaken. 

  • To support the Estates technical professional staff and Business Support teams by providing an efficient and cost effective first-class reactive maintenance response service by interpreting requests for maintenance and allocating appropriate contractors in accordance with agreed technical and financial parameters and ensure appropriate records are updated and stored within the CAFM portal which will include following through requests to completion. 
  • To oversee a wide range of responsibilities with the FM Services Function, including Contractor Vetting processes and general operational administration.  
  • In support of the professional estates team, proactively monitor and control estate related utilities and services and where applicable co-ordinate and undertake site audits as necessary to ensure accuracy and efficiency. 
  • Understand and interpret risk assessments & method statements submitted by contractors  
  • To understand contract standing orders and financial regulations in line with public procurement directives to aid and support to the professional staff in procuring service contracts and construction quotations and tenders. 
  • Provide a high-quality service to all stakeholders and customers by dealing with electronic, telephone and personal enquiries with efficiency, tact and diplomacy. Ensuring timely communication and documenting processes where required.
