Lancashire Constabulary is looking for a Kitchen Team Leader to join our team in Preston, Hutton Headquarters and Blackburn Greenbank!

Key Responsibilities: 

  • To oversee the catering function within the specific catering facility.
  • To plan and design menus, schedule the recipes, ensure sufficient stock is available to maintain daily food provisions in line with menus including additional stock ordering with the meal allowance budget as agreed, in conjunction with the Catering Services Supervisor
  • Maintain a high standard of personal cleanliness and hygiene and a clean and tidy appearance including the use of PPE and wearing of uniform at all times
  • To report any accidents / incidents immediately as per the Constabulary’s accident procedure and complete all necessary documents

Skills and Experience:

  • Food Hygiene and Safety qualification (level 3)
  • Experience of line management including managing, motivating and developing staff to nurture a highly skilled team

Vetting and Medical:

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.

**Please be aware there is a minimum 5 year UK residency required for Management Vetting.


The successful candidate will be required to work in accordance with the attached rota.
