Senior Investigating Officer – Operation Lincoln

The main purpose of the Senior Investigating Officer – Operation Lincoln role is to be responsible for and leading on Op Lincoln, both within West Mercia and externally at a regional and national level across collaborations and partnerships.
To provide victims of serious crime with an effective and efficient service ensuring that where appropriate offenders are brought to justice.
To undertake a critical lead role in operational policing for major or critical events or incidents; planning and directing the activities in line with the legal framework and wider policing policies/objectives to uphold the law and ensure public safety and strengthen public confidence.
To contribute to the development of culture, climate and working processes in Op Lincoln and across the wider organisation to ensure adherence to standards, the promotion of accountability, identification and mainstreaming of learning lessons and continuous improvement.
- The Senior Investigating Officer – Operation Lincoln role is a hybrid (mix of home & office working) role
- Base location can either be Hereford, Shropshire or Worcester
- Fixed term contract until 31st March 2027
- Must be accredited (Professionalising Investigations Programme) PIP3 with experience investigating complex major crime
