Person specification
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Design and maintain a national PPST curriculum derived from empirical research, industry best practice, and lessons learned.
- Develop engaging learning materials, including written guides.
- Facilitate CPD eventsdesign agendas, arrange guest speakers, deliver interactive learning sessions.
- Provide expert guidance at national meetings and practitioner working groups, advocating for PPST standards.
- Collaborate closely with College colleagues, police forces, academic partners, and external organisations to ensure standardised delivery and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role youll need:
- Qualified as a Public and Personal Safety Trainer.
- Certified Trainer in Police Sector Trainer Standards.
- Evidence of commitment to continual professional development.
- Qualified assessor i.e. Assessing Competence in the Workplace or equivalent qualification/ award including College assessing awards.
Travel will be required as part of this role.

- Demonstrable experience of successful design and development of training and/or learning and development products using a variety of evidence-based approaches and delivery solutions.
- Experience of influencing and implementing change management and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, establishing and maintaining positive working relationships and removing unnecessary barriers to service delivery.
- Up-to-date subject matter expertise and evidence of CPD in the subject areas for the post.
