Incident Resolution Team Operator
Provide an excellent quality of service to the public, police and other organisations, giving help and advice, and using innovative ideas to deal with problems to reduce the need to deploy operational officers. To deal with those calls for service and enquiries by applying the THRIVE principles of Threat, Harm, Risk, Investigation, Vulnerability and the opportunities for Engagement.
To input into; maintain and interrogate Police Computer Systems, to quality control the accuracy and validity of all crime information held in accordance with Force Policy, National Guidance and General Data Protection Regulations.
Ensuring compliance with the National Crime Recording Standards, and the National Standards of Incident Recording when dealing with incidents, advising persons appropriately and providing crime prevention and reassurance. If the incident and crime can be resolved on the initial contact made by the operator, then they are to ensure the incident and crime are updated accordingly and submit for closure/finalization. If the incident requires further investigation or there is a necessity for attendance by a police officer or a PCSO in person, the rationale and actions required will be documented also.
