Job Title: Leadership Academy Course Programme Lead
Salary: The starting salary is £59,839, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £56,911 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £69,342. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Location: Central London locations, Hendon, Marlowe House, NSY and potentially other locations across the MPS.
In line with A New Met for London to develop a strong cohort of leaders, the Commissioner has made a commitment to help set our leaders up to succeed by ensuring a leadership development programme for all leaders every year.
This will be delivered through the new Leadership Academy providing a contemporary and impactful learning offer to our leaders
This role will lead an internal team and manage external contractors to produce high quality learning content for leadership programmes. The role holder will ensure content design within leadership programmes support the objectives of the MPS and is relevant to officers and staff, enabling the MPS to have confidence that colleagues have the appropriate training for their specific role and meets the required national standards or licenses where applicable.
Specifically, take ownership of the design and development of the MPS Senior Leaders Programme, a key deliverable for the Leadership Academy. This involves managing the in-year leadership CPD offer, whilst concurrently leading the analysis and design of the following years leadership CPD.
This role will lead on Positive Action (PA) for the Academy, this includes co-ordinating the inclusion of PA into existing leadership products, and where necessary the inception of PA initiatives into the Leadership Academy portfolio.
Coaching and Mentoring forms a critical aspect of the leadership academy offer to the business, this role will manage this capability through internal and external stakeholders.
This role will need to engage across the whole organisation championing leadership development in support of NMfL.
