Gloucestershire Constabulary is launching a rapid improvement plan to drive fast paced change to achieve ‘excellence in the basics’. Under the leadership of T/CC Maggie Blyth and DCC Katy Barrow-Grint, the plan will focus our efforts on four clear priorities: investigating crime, safer communities, an efficient organisation, and ethical leadership. The role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of transformative change: bringing tangible benefits to victims of crime, the wider public, and colleagues within the Constabulary.

We are now conducting a promotion process.

We are seeking candidates who have an ability to:

This opportunity is open to Inspectors on lateral transfer and substantive Sergeants seeking promotion.

Successful applicants will be allocated to whichever role is most aligned to their skills and abilities and this decision will be taken by the Constabulary. We are currently looking to fill up to 7 vacancies and will invite all applicants who pass shortlist to interview.
