Intelligence Development Officer (IDO)
One full-time permanent position

This is an excellent and unique opportunity to join the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit (YHROCU) in support of the fight against serious and organised crime.

We are looking for an individual to join the YHROCU Intelligence Unit, working within a recently created intelligence development function. The individual will work with enthusiasm, drive and a commitment, taking responsible for researching, developing, and working alongside operational staff 'in the field' to tackle organised crime.

This proactive intelligence development role will support all aspects of the YHROCU specialist capabilities operational delivery, in partnership with colleagues from across the Regional Organised Crime Unit, the regional territorial police forces, the National Crime Agency and other law enforcement partners involved in tackling criminal finances.

With proven previous experience in an intelligence / investigation role, you will be proactive in the identification of intelligence requirements, creation of intelligence collection plans and developing this into usable intelligence for operational activity. This will be to maximise disruption and intervention opportunities across the 4 P approach.

The successful candidate must be prepared to work flexible hours to meet operational requirements and be willing to travel regularly across the region, the UK and overseas if required.

You should hold a full UK/European driving license.

The successful candidate will be subject to advanced personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
