Crime And Intelligence Researcher
The purpose of this role is to support analytical teams by conducting research that informs and guides the strategic deployment of resources in line with Lincolnshire Police’s priorities. Additionally, the role involves providing administrative assistance with a strong focus on quality and customer service, ensuring all duties are performed in accordance with the Staff Charter.
CORE WORK AREAS
- To research and interpret available information in relation to priority areas identified by the Analyst or as directed management.
- Research information from computerised and manual source of records, relating to committed crime and disorder, intelligence, policing activities and law enforcement matters, in order to identify links and associations between suspected offenders and committed crimes. Identify information gaps and make recommendations for obtaining further intelligence.
- To prepare reports summarising research findings for dissemination or further analysis as appropriate.
- To assist in the dissemination of research by providing briefings and presenting the results of analysis to relevant parties including senior officers, external agencies and partners.
