Analytical Researcher
An opportunity has arisen within South Wales Police to join the Professional Standards Department.
We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as Analytical Researcher supporting our Anti-Corruption Unit and our Professional Standards Department. Could you be who we are looking for?
About the team/Department you will be joining:
- The role will have duties across two units, Anti-Corruption and Professional Standards.
- Whilst the overwhelming majority of the policing family act with integrity in line with our Code of Ethics, as with any workforce there are a small few who do not.
- The Anti-Corruption Unit manages allegations including predatory and other criminal conduct by members of the police service.
- The Professional Standards Department manages public complaints and internal conduct cases alleged against members of South Wales Police.
- We work weekdays Monday to Friday although there is a possibility of weekend working in time.
About the role and your key responsibilities:
- The role requires outstanding attention to detail and methodical, analytical thinking.
- The role will carry a substantial workload under strict timescales and statutory requirements.
- The role will contribute to our delivery of local, regional and national workstreams in tackling internal threat.
What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:
- We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail across often complex data and circumstances
- We are looking for someone with the ability to use initiative but also to be a fully contributing colleague within a busy team as and when required.
- We are looking for someone with the ability to think methodically, objectively and without bias.
