Intel Processing and Liaison Officer
Join our Intelligence team and play a vital role in supporting the Force’s strategic and tactical decision-making. As an Intelligence Support Officer, you will act as a key liaison between Intelligence Units, Neighbourhood Policing, Crime and Operations Support, as well as with external forces and partner agencies. Your work will directly contribute to the effective development and use of intelligence to tackle crime and safeguard communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, evaluate, and process intelligence and information, ensuring it is appropriately sanitised and actioned using the Force Intelligence System.
- Conduct research into crime, disorder, property, and individuals using a wide range of intelligence and data sources.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, other police forces, and external agencies to support intelligence sharing and collaboration.
- Update and manage intelligence records on force systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data standards.
- Disseminate relevant intelligence through briefings, bulletins, and verbal updates to ensure timely and effective communication.
- Maintain and manage intelligence databases to support efficient data retrieval and analysis.
- Complete all mandatory and role-specific training to maintain professional standards and operational readiness.
- Provide general administrative support to the Intelligence team as required.
