Crime Management Bureau Manager

Lincolnshire Police is looking for a driven and experienced individual to lead our dynamic Crime Management Bureau (CMB). This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of a highly specialised team and shape the quality of crime recording, incident processing, and operational support across the force.
Key Responsibilities
As the Team Leader of the Crime Management Bureau, you will:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and line management for a team of administrators and supervisors, ensuring a high standard of performance, service delivery, and staff development.
- Oversee all activities of the CMB, managing workloads, maintaining appropriate staffing levels, and ensuring the team meets both internal and national performance targets.
- Ensure full compliance with local and national legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), National Crime Recording Standards (NCRS), Management of Police Information (MoPI), and the Victim Code of Practice.
- Monitor, analyse, and report departmental performance data to senior leaders and key stakeholders, contributing to force-wide inspections and national reporting.
- Cultivate an inclusive and supportive workplace culture, prioritising well-being, equality of opportunity, continuous professional development, and the Code of Ethics.
- Coordinate workload allocation fairly across a specialist multi-skilled team, while supporting the wider Criminal Justice, Prosecutions, and Custody functions.
- Represent the Bureau and Lincolnshire Police at local, regional, and national forums, contributing to the improvement of crime and data recording, fraud response, and justice outcomes.
- Manage complaints and conduct internal investigations in collaboration with the Professional Standards Department.
- Act as a Single Point of Contact for the DVLA and the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau (NFIB), ensuring prompt and accurate exchange of information.
- Lead and support the training and mentoring of staff, ensuring a fully competent workforce that is responsive to legislative, technical, and procedural changes.
- Oversee crime data input, classification, finalisation, and audits in line with national recording standards using systems such as Niche RMS.
- Respond to internal and external enquiries, offering expert guidance to colleagues, partners, and the public where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain departmental business continuity plans, standard operating procedures, and internal communications strategies.
- Deputise for the Head and Deputy Head of Criminal Justice as required, influencing strategic direction and service development.
