- S25-136 Force Resourcing Planner (LC4-5)
Lancashire Constabulary’s Specialist Operations Division is seeking a Force Resourcing Planner to be based at Hutton Headquarters. The site is accessible by public transport and there is also free car parking on site.
A Force Resourcing planner would be working in a diverse and demanding role, planning duties and resourcing to operating levels across different departments. The nature of the demand can change daily and would be dependent on operations, events and/ or a change in resource requirements.
The Force Resource Unit is split up into different roles dealing with Response and local Neighbourhood Policing, Training, Flexible working, Operations and Events, Investigation and HQ departments. Some knowledge of work force management and duty planning would be beneficial.
There is a requirement to work on complex systems, in conjunction with managing and updating several spread sheets, therefore attention to detail is crucial. Daily tasks include management of resources on our Duty Management System (DMS), maintaining minimum operating levels in line with local policy. Creation of rotas and following processes i.e. flexible working policy and procedure.
The team are always on hand to provide guidance and assistance to staff and officers of differing ranks. Administrative tasks can vary from granting and denying leave, telephone calls, email enquiries, inputting court warnings, shift changes and so on. There is also the requirement to build and input rotas onto DMS and the transfer of individuals onto new rotas or movement of teams. It is also necessary to make sure all entitlements are correct and after every public holiday there is some manual work to input adjustments to public holiday pots.
Vetting and Medical:
Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
