Lancashire Constabulary is looking for a Demand Modelling Officer to join our team. 

This position plays a critical role in supporting the Change Team by maintaining and enhancing performance profilers and products post-change. The role ensures data integrity, facilitates communication between Analysts and senior management, and supports continuous improvement through proactive performance monitoring and insight generation.

This role works closely with both the change lead and the business and performance analysts, to understand policing demand in all contexts and be able to use the data we hold in force to run simulations and predict changes to outcomes with changes in demand or processes. This will help understand change recommendations further and will also support continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Operate and maintain all performance profilers, including the annual execution of the Responding, Custody, Call Taking, Investigations
  • Run scheduled profiler refreshes and ensure alignment with current operational and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure data integrity across all performance tools and escalate issues impacting operational performance.
  • Conduct regular scanning and analysis of performance products post-change to detect trends, anomalies, or performance gaps.
  • Initiate and support gap analyses to inform continuous improvement and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Constantly monitor the demand through the profilers looking for performance exceptions and trends that may impact the workload profile.

Skills and Experience: 

Must hold an ECDL or equivalent or substantial/advanced level experience of Excel.   

Vetting and Medical:

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
