Safety Camera Van Technician
Can you help us achieve our Vision Zero Strategy (Fatal Collisions) by 2040?
The successful candidate will work as part of a small team, operating alongside the Roads Policing Unit and partner agencies with the mission of reducing collisions and making Cumbria’s Road network safe. To help achieve that goal, as part of the team you would have the responsibility for identifying various road traffic offences and making the correct prosecution decisions. You will also be responsible for the installation, operation and fault diagnosis of the various offence detection and monitoring equipment in use with the team. You will record, interpret and process the data gathered from the equipment, initiating the correct action in accordance with both national and constabulary policies and procedures. The successful candidate will also be required to work collaboratively alongside other agencies on various road safety projects, with the goal of reducing harm in our communities.
If successful you would be required to work a shift pattern that involves some evening and weekend working, which can be discussed at the interview.
Salary is £26,106.00 - £28,653.00, plus shift allowances £30,444.72 - £33,414.96
