Applications are invited for the post of Development Analyst/Programmer within ICT Information & Communications Technology Division based at Hutton Headquarters.

Join our team to analyse, develop, test, and implement software and systems for Police ICT applications. You'll ensure our Constabulary meets organisational and operational requirements cost-effectively.

The purpose of this role to support the design and development of software products for the Constabulary, ensuring business requirements and objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical advice and consultancy to customers, stakeholders, and ICT staff.
  • Maximise system performance and facilitate the implementation of changes and new applications.
  • Enhance our capability to develop and implement current and future systems by staying updated with technology trends, legislation, and environmental changes.
  • Meet targets for incident response and resolution of IT issues.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of Software development discipline
  • Experience of communicating effectively across a wide spectrum of people, both individually and in groups
  • Experience of producing and implementing technical procedures and associated supporting documentation
  • Ability to work individually or in a team on multiple simultaneous tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Vetting and Medical:

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
