Police Community Support Officer (PCSO)

Are you a driven, determined, and exceptional communicator with a passion to support your local community?

If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Local Policing Command as Police Community Support Officers, you will provide reassurance and support to local communities and will do everything in your power to assist the police and partnership organisations in tackling issues like public nuisance. You will provide effective and timely support services in order that operational Police Officers are free to focus on the demands of changing policing priorities.

The role of the Police Community Support Officer is broken down into four distinct areas: -

GENERAL, TRAFFIC, ENVIRONMENT and REASSURANCE.

You will be required to complete the college of policing National Sift process if you pass the initial sift, which will then be followed by an assessment centre at HQ if successful at the national/ initial sift.

These will take place w/c 21st July 2025

If you have passed a previous National Sift with another force within the last 24 months, please indicate this within your application form and provide evidence.
