We’re looking for a motivated and technically skilled ICT Support Hub Engineer to join our dynamic Service Delivery Team. Based in York, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the digital infrastructure that underpins the essential services of the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioning (OPFCC), North Yorkshire Police (NYP), and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (NYFRS).

Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality desk-side and onsite support to end users across the organisation.
- Build, configure, and maintain ICT hardware to meet operational needs.
- Respond to service desk calls and self-service portal requests with professionalism and efficiency.
- Support the delivery of ICT services in line with performance targets and service catalogue commitments.
- Contribute to project work and commissioned tasks, including occasional fieldwork and out-of-hours support.
- Collaborate with colleagues across ICT to ensure a seamless, “one service” experience for users.
- Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team
To be successful in the role you will:
- A higher education qualification in ICT or equivalent hands-on experience in a busy, multi-disciplined ICT environment.
- Strong understanding of incident management and service desk operations.
- A problem-solving mindset with excellent analytical and technical skills.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels.
- Experience working in or with public sector organisations, ideally within emergency services.
- A clean driving licence and flexibility to travel when required.
Desirable Qualifications:
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience in a regulated ICT environment.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
