West Yorkshire Police are looking to recruit Processing Officers to join the Prosecution and Casualty Prevention Unit based in Bradford.

As a Unit, the Prosecution and Casualty Prevention team is responsible for the processing and handling of all camera detections in the West Yorkshire Police area. This includes the offering of National Driver Re-training Scheme courses, dealing with telephone enquiries from members of the public concerning the issuance of tickets, summonses, postal requisitions and judicial enforcement, and the processing of DVLA, fraud, and freedom of information enquiries submitted to the Force.

As a Processing Officer within the department, it will be your responsibility to ensure the Unit is consistently providing an effective prosecution service to the Organisation, partner agencies and HM Courts. The role will involve data input, case management, file processing, dealing with incoming telephone call enquiries and decision making on behalf of the Unit. This is to ensure that the Organisation meets all the required objectives within its portfolio, maintains output and adheres to Court deadlines in accordance with policy and legislation. The successful candidate will also travel to attend court as may be required.

To be considered eligible for this post candidates must be able to demonstrate previous experience of working in an administrative or clerical environment, and previous experience of working in a similar customer focused and confidential environment, as well as knowledge of computerised databases and software packages specifically Microsoft Office. You must also have a flexible approach to working hours to ensure the delivery of an efficient service provision which meets our customers' requirements.
