This role is open to all Police Staff / external candidates who meet the essential criteria of the person spec, regardless of current grade.

About the team
Report Fraud is the national reporting centre for fraud and cybercrime. It collects reports about fraud on behalf of the police service and disseminates crime and intel packages to police and partners.
As part of your role, you will be working within a small team of subject matter experts who are actively involved in improving and enhancing the victims’ journey through a process of quality assurance and performance management. Your team will consist of a mixture of civilian officers and police officers, and you will report to a Senior Quality Assurance Manager.
About the role
To support our values, we are currenlty seeking to recruit a Performance Analyst, who will be a be a dedicated resource, committed to supporting our team in making tangible improvements to the experiences of victims, through a process of quality assurance and dynamic change.
The Performance Analyst will have a vital role in working within the Quality Assurance team, to develop, improve and enhance the systems and standards across the Report Fraud Target Operating Model (TOM).
We are seeking a dynamic, creative and innovative individual, who is as committed as we are to improving the victim experience. The Performance Analyst will play a central role in developing and enhancing the service that we provide to victims of fraud and cybercrime.
As part of their many roles and responsibilities, the Performance Analyst will provide reports on quality assurance, program evaluation, as well as statistical analysis for the Quality Assurance team which will in turn be used to make dynamic changes to the Report Fraud system.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Work within the Quality Assurance Team to identify opportunities to improve the victim experience for individuals and businesses.
Prepare concise management reports and briefings with recommendations on how to improve victims’ experience for individuals and businesses supported by the new Report Fraud service.
Help develop statistical tools and procedures for service monitoring, including trend analysis and forecasting. An ability to analyse, summarise and present service data in formats that fulfil a variety of internal and external requirements.
Assist the Senior Quality Assurance Manager with audits and reviews, including the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance frameworks.
Participate in the development of plans to ensure improvement in the quality of service provided by the Report Fraud service.
Perform internal audits and reviews as assigned by the Quality Assurance management team, and identifying quality assurance concerns, with suitable recommendations.
Conduct weekly / monthly / quarterly and yearly internal reviews of service areas and preparing quantitative and qualitative outcomes-based reports to the Quality Assurance Management team in an efficient manner.
Develop outcome measurements designed to ensure that quality approaches to services are delivered to the senior leadership team, partners and stakeholders.
Monitor, analyse and report problem areas, and identify strategies to address areas of concern.
Conduct random quality assurance testing of services to determine quality of service and developing corrective action plans if services are not meeting expected outcomes.
Organise and lead relevant, ad hoc services of the different functions within the Report Fraud service to plan, monitor and deliver quality assurance surveys, analysis and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
For this role, we need you to have experience of:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical and forecasting skills.
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including excellent negotiation, conflict resolution and people management skills to communicate with people from all backgrounds.
Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage their own workload whilst maintaining the high technical standards required for quality assurance.
Experience in research and statistical analysis.
A good knowledge of quality assurance, outcomes measurement processes and methodologies is desirable.
Previous experience with implementation of quality assurance program would an asset.
A detailed knowledge of police strategies and policies is desirable.
Experience within a Police/law enforcement environment, within Intelligence/Crime background is desirable.
Management experience of the production of crime and intelligence products and cross agency working (e.g. across police, other law enforcement, other government and private sector organisations) is desirable.

Selection Process
As part of the initial application process, you will be asked to evidence how your experience, skills, and knowledge demonstrate your ability to meet the person specification of the role.
The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.
Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the job description will not be considered.

Following shortlisting, successful candidates will be invited to attend a competency-based interview, anticipated to be held week commencing 30th July 2025.
