Evidence Gatherer – Prisoner Interview Unit
This is a rewarding opportunity to join North Wales Police in the role of Evidence Gatherer.
What does this role entail?
- To assist in the prompt and efficient investigation of serious and complex crime.
- The core purpose of the role being able to obtain evidence in a timely and appropriate manner, assist with interviewing victims, witnesses and suspects as well as providing support to other investigations as required.
What will I need to be considered for the role?
- HNC or equivalent level of qualification, or an equivalent amount of proven relevant experience.
- An investigative background, to include experience of compiling files (preferably of an investigative nature) and previous experience in dealing with people (in particular, in interviewing techniques).
- Intermediate IT skills, to include the use of Microsoft Office products.
- The ability to gather information and to prepare statements and reports within deadlines to a very high standard.
- The ability to communicate effectively (commensurate with the grade and requirements of the post) with managers, members of staff (at all levels) and members of the public.
- Motivated and disciplined style working on own initiative to complete the task and as part of a team to achieve overall objectives
- The role will involve the post holder travelling throughout the Force area (and beyond in some instances) and the post holder will therefore be required to possess a full driving licence.
