Job Title: Senior Leadership Programme Delivery Lead
Salary: The starting salary is £59,839, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £56,911 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £69,342. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Location: Central London locations, Hendon, Marlowe House, NSY and potentially other locations across the MPS.
In line with A New Met for London to develop a strong cohort of leaders, the Commissioner has made a commitment to help set our leaders up to succeed by ensuring a leadership development programme for all leaders every year.
This will be delivered through the New Leadership Academy providing a contemporary learning offer to our leaders. To achieve this we need a strong team of leaders and expert facilitators to build our leadership capabilities in the Met in order to deliver more trust, less crime and higher standards.
Working in the Met’s Leadership Academy team within Learning and Development, the role holder will take ownership of the delivery of the Senior Leadership programmes (SLP) 2 & 3 (Band B’s/Superintendents & Chief Inspectors) and work collaboratively with the other strand leads delivering Leadership programmes. The post holder will assist in the actual delivery of the programmes, alongside managing the delivery team, and support the extended team of facilitators for the FLLP and MLLP programmes. To ensure the highest standards of facilitation and training are delivered, they will work collaboratively with the design teams to ensure continual improvement in the programmes, support the QA process and continued professional development of trainers and facilitators. They will also support the coaching and mentoring SLP programmes.
The successful applicant will be supported in developing their knowledge, skill and experience required to deliver these programmes. This will include a train the trainers programme, observation sessions of current courses and access to content prior to being expected to deliver. Also the opportunity to develop recognised professional Instructional / facilitation qualifications if necessary.
Location and working hours:
Our courses are delivered face to face in a classroom environment Monday to Friday 8 – 4 generally. The locations for delivery include; Central London locations, Peel Centre Hendon, Marlowe House Sidcup and New Scotland Yard. There may be need to deliver the training from other venues across the MPS and the successful candidate needs to be flexible to meet this criteria.
L&D supports flexible working and this is reviewed on a case by case basis.

This will be a permanent full time role in L&D Leadership Academy. If the successful applicant is internal, the posting will take place in line with the next corporate posting schedule. If the successful applicant is an external candidate then a start date will be agreed.
