Job Title: Intelligence Researcher- Counter Terrorism (Police Staff)

Salary: £30,190 + £6,710 London Allowance

PURPOSE OF THE POST:

To work within the City of London Police Counter Terrorism Team supporting the Senior Analyst and the teams Intelligence and Investigations functions, by researching a wide range of intelligence and data relating to Counter Terrorism. You will provide research product that informs and support local, regional and national Counter Terrorism objectives.

Working in line with the National Intelligence Model (NIM), Counter Terrorism Policing and City of London Police policy; the candidate will be expected to identify and develop enforcement, disruption and prevention opportunities through effective research.

For some roles, flexibility in working hours is required, both in providing office cover between the current opening hours of 8am-6pm (these may be subject to change), with the ability to work extended hours if required in the event of a major incident.

**It is possible that the location for this role in the future may change and be based outside of the City of London**

The process for obtaining Developed Vetting can be intrusive and lengthy, therefore candidates must be willing to engage in this process.

Applicants who fail to achieve DV vetting / STRAP or have vetting clearance removed during posting will not be held in post.
