Part Time Forensic Evidence & Exhibits Officer (FEE)
Counter Terrorism Policing – North East (CTP NE)
Wakefield
1 permanent part time post, 30 hours

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism Policing.

As part of the Forensic Management Team, you will deal with covert and overt forensic and conventional intelligence/evidence to provide a professional, effective and efficient service to CTP investigations in conjunction with regional, national and international law enforcement agencies. Responsibilities include working to internationally recognised standards conducting scene investigations associated to terrorism incidents/offences, forensic examinations where applicable, searching as a qualified Licensed Search Officer, scene management and exhibit handling/processing to assist internal and external partners.

Eligible candidates will have successfully completed an appropriate Crime Scene Investigation course or the National CT Forensic Management Course or have equivalent significant proven experience.

The successful candidate must have the ability to successfully complete and maintain requirements for the Police Licensed Search Officer (LSO) course if not already trained. They must also have the willingness and ability to conduct CBRN and DVI training and work in respective CBRN or DVI/mass fatality incidents, including wearing appropriate PPE and working in unpleasant, often traumatic and potentially highly contaminated environments.

We will need you to be able to work unsociable hours (shifts and weekends), working within a 24-hour period, routinely within the CTPNE and East Midlands regions, plus nationally or internationally, if required, possibly for extended periods. In addition, you will need an awareness of Health and Safety issues and relevant practical experience, as well as a full current UK/European driving licence.
