Health & Safety Lead
The Strategic Governance Unit is looking for a Health & Safety Lead, to manage and develop a team of health & safety assurance and incident officers and health & safety specialists. The successful candidate will lead on identifying and managing health & safety risks for Thames Valley Police and will be responsible for promoting health & safety awareness and understanding across the force.
The successful candidate will be experienced in embedding robust health & safety management practices, risk assurance, governance and strategy development.
The successful candidate must have successfully completed the following qualifications:
NEBOSH Diploma or Level 5 NVQ in Health and Safety Practice.
NEBOSH General certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
IMEA Certificate in Environmental Management (PIEMA).
NEBOSH certificate in Construction Health and Safety and Fire Safety and Risk Management.
NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to all levels of the organisation with the experience, confidence and credibility to communicate complex or specialist information to a non-specialist audience, facilitate workshops and deliver presentations.
