Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual looking for a rewarding career? Lincolnshire Police is seeking a Resourcing Officer on a permanent basis for 18.5 hours per week. This role is based at our Force Headquarters in Nettleham, where you'll have access to a range of wellbeing services, including internal staff networks, mental health services such as counselling, gym facilities, and free parking.
About the role: As a Resourcing Officer, you will be the initial point of contact for individuals interested in the diverse and exciting career opportunities at Lincolnshire Police. Your role will be pivotal in promoting Lincolnshire Police as a reputable employer and raising awareness of the various opportunities within policing to a broad audience. You will be essential in identifying, attracting, and recruiting talented individuals who align with our force values and are committed to making Lincolnshire the safest place to live, work, and visit.
You will support the delivery of a professional, effective, and proactive advisory service related to recruitment and selection of personnel. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with strategic and operational line managers to attract and appoint the best candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advisory services for Officer and Staff recruitment activities by working closely with hiring managers and candidates, offering guidance on recruitment procedures and best practices.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, from pre-post approval to induction, ensuring candidates progress smoothly through pre-employment checks and addressing any recruitment queries.
- Act as a key liaison between managers and new hires, facilitating a seamless and efficient induction process.
- Maintain accurate records and manage data in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
- Prepare correspondence, terms of employment, and reports with accuracy and precision.
- Engage in selection processes and represent the organisation at recruitment events across the county.
- Monitor and evaluate recruitment quality and activities to ensure continuous improvement.
Who we are Looking For: We are looking for a confident individual with proven experience in either a recruitment or HR role, with a solid understanding of recruitment practices and approaches. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and communication skills, strong organisational abilities, the capacity to meet tight deadlines, and keen attention to detail.
